Sophie has nearly a decade of experience teaching piano to students ages three to adult in private and group settings. She is dedicated to ensuring that students receive a well-rounded music education that emphasizes skills in note reading and ear-training, while building technique and performance skills, developing creativity through improvisation and composition, and exploring a wide range of musical traditions and styles.

Drawing on her experience as a classically trained pianist and background in play-based music education, Sophie creates an individualized lesson plans that are tailored to each students’ unique needs and musical interests, helping every student to form a strong musical foundation while developing their own voice as a musician. Students develop their musicality along with a love of music through games and interactive music making, with every lesson engaging students at their current level while inspiring them to reach further.
